Worksheet · Strategy Health Check
Give every theme an action programme
It prints on A4 with room to write.
A strategy that never reaches team plans stays a document. This sheet turns each theme into initiatives with owners, dates and a deliverable for this quarter. It builds the Competent step of the check:
Strategic priorities appear in team plans and goals with dates and owners.
Step 1. One table per theme
Theme: ________ Sponsor: ________
| Initiative | Lead | This quarter's deliverable | Milestones, next 12 months | Team plans it appears in | Cost | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| e.g. Cross-functional key-account teams | Sales director | Teams named for the top ten accounts | Joint plans agreed with five accounts by June | Sales; supply chain; finance | Staff time | On track |
Step 2. Push it into team plans
For each initiative, check the plans of the teams that must deliver it.
| Team | Initiative | Appears in the team plan? | Appears in someone's personal goals? | Date checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Step 3. Review it monthly
Thirty minutes, the same table each month, three questions:
- Was this quarter's deliverable met, or when will it be?
- What is blocking the next milestone?
- Does any initiative need more people, fewer, or to stop?
Done when: each priority appears in the named teams' plans and goals with a date and an owner, and the table is reviewed every month.
