Worksheet · Sales Effectiveness Health Check
One line per planned call
A call without a purpose is a social visit. This sheet asks each rep for one line per call before the week, and a next step after it. It builds the Competent step of the check:
Every planned call has a stated objective and what to bring, and a next step with a date is recorded after it.
A call here is a visit or a phone or video call.
Step 1. The weekly plan, one line per call
Write the first four columns before the week starts. Fill the last two straight after each call.
| Day | Customer | Objective for this call | What to bring | Next step agreed | Date of next step |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| e.g. Tue | Plumbing wholesaler, north | Agree a trial of the new valve range | Samples, trade price list, margin sheet | Trial order at three branches | 14 March |
Step 2. The manager's Friday read
| Rep | Calls planned | With an objective | With a dated next step | One comment back to the rep |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Step 3. Carry the next steps forward
Start each week's plan from last week's next steps. Keep going until those next steps fill most of the following week.
Done when: every planned call for a month has an objective and what to bring, and each has a dated next step recorded.
