Worksheet · KPIs and Incentives Health Check
End every review with actions
It prints on A4 with room to write.
When nobody checks the actions, the same red number is explained the same way three months running. This sheet is the action register that closes each review and opens the next. It builds the Competent step of the check:
Each review ends with actions written down with an owner and a date, and the next review starts by checking them.
Step 1. The action register
| # | Review date | Action | One owner | Due | At the next review (done, late, dropped) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| e.g. 1 | 5 March | Recovery plan for north region margin | Region manager | 19 March | |
One person per action. An action with two owners has none.
Step 2. Two triggers
| Trigger | Response | Within |
|---|---|---|
| A measure goes red | A named response: a recovery plan, a resource moved, or the target re-examined | One month |
| A measure is green three months running | Ask whether the target was too soft | The next quarterly review |
Step 3. The first item on every agenda
- Read the register from last time.
- Mark each action done, late or dropped.
- Give each late action a new date, or escalate it.
Done when: the last three reviews each ended with actions, owners and dates, and each next review opened by checking them.
